With federal mortgage interest rates at historic lows, now may be the time to talk to us about making the most of your mortgage. Many people don’t realize that when you buy a home, you don’t necessarily need to keep the same mortgage and rate for the life of the loan.
A Dutchess Community College student is one step closer to a career in advanced manufacturing, after receiving Tompkins Mahopac Bank’s Make and Accelerate Scholarship. Olti Begaj of Poughkeepsie was awarded with this year’s scholarship, which covers $1,000 of his tuition fees. An aspiring electrical technician, Begaj is enrolled in DCC’s Electrical Technology Program and is on track to graduate with his associate’s degree in May 2020.
The sun's out, temperatures are rising, and the Hudson Valley is looking beautiful! To celebrate the beginning of summer, we brought Food Truck Friday back after a successful launch last fall. This past June, our Putnam Valley, Brewster, and LaGrange branches hosted free Food Truck Fridays as a thank you to lour customers, employees, community neighbors, and friends.
Each branch partnered with a local nonprofit organization to raise funds for their important work. Although the food was free and open to the public, generous attendees donated to these important causes. We could not be more impressed with our community's generosity! Putnam Valley raised $1,000 for the Putnam Valley Community Food Pantry, Brewster collected $680 for the Brewster High School Scholarship Fund, and LaGrange impressed with about $500 for Kickin' Back LTD.
Did you know that heart disease is the number one killer worldwide, and stroke ranks second globally? Even when those conditions don’t result in death, they cause disability and diminish quality of life. The American Heart Association wants to see a world free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. That's why we partnered with the Hudson Valley chapter on their annual Dutchess-Ulster Heart Walk.
Last fall, we celebrated our longstanding commitment to our friends in Mahopac with Food Truck Fridays, a month-long event featuring free lunch for any member of the community. We partnered with local food trucks to serve up burgers, fries, pizza, and so much more. Our generous customers and friends even helped us make donations to Putnam CAP and the St. John the Evangelist Food Pantry - two organizations dedicated to stopping hunger in Putnam County.
Wow! We've got so many long-time employees to celebrate this year! Please join us in honoring these team members who have contributed so much to the bank and its customers.
